Beauty

Hello Beautiful!

Cancer is a real bitch. First it takes your breasts, then it takes your hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, and clear skin. But thankfully we can fight back with an arsenal of beauty supplies to get you back to your bad ass betch self.

First let’s start with skin. So obviously I’m not a dermatologist and if you’re reading this I literally have no clue what your current skin condition is. You could have angelic poreless skin (if you do, I hate you) or you could look like Shrek. I don’t know, but I’ll just tell you what worked for me.
So a delightful side effect of chemo is that my skin turned all dry, red, and lifeless. Picture a stale piece of shitty cheese pizza… and that’s my face without makeup.
So here’s stuff that I use and recommend. I am in no way paid by these companies, but if they want to pay me then HELL yea!

Dermadoctor Picture Porefect Pore Minimizer
So this stuff is awesome. I put it on under make up in the morning. It has the effects of using a primer except it actually minimizes your pores rather than just cover then up like primers do.

Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream
A great moisturizer for that dry pizza skin, plus it has a tint to combat redness.

Bare Minerals Mineral Veil

Dior Diorskin Nude Skin Perfecting Hydrating Concealer
I’ve used a lot of concealers through the years and this is the one that I have settled on. Light, hydrating, and good for layering.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit
Your face may get puffy like mine sometimes does from all the chemo and steroids. This contour kit helps slim my puffy chipmunk cheeks down after treatment.

Next, let’s talk about those eyes. Your trusty old peepers are going to let ya down. You’re going to lose a lot or all of your eyelashes and eyebrows. [Sigh] BREATH… I’ve got you betch.

Peter Thomas Roth Lashes to Die For Turbo
NOTE: This will not make your eyelashes grow. Your hair can’t grow during chemo, but this serum fortifies the ones you have and helps them to not fall out.

La Prairie Skin Caviar Luxe Eye Lift Cream
Expensive but does the trick.

Ole Henrickson Ultimate Lift Eye Gel
Works amazing and very affordable!

Anastasia Beverly Hills Bold Brow Kit
The brush is amazing, and this works great to fill in the sparse brows. If you end up completely bald on your brows you can always purchase the Anastasia Brow Stencils to help guide you where your brows used to be.

L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Butterfly Mascara
It’s cheap and it’s always been a favorite of mine. It works just as well as expensive brands.

Sephora Contour Matte Gel Eyeliner Waterproof
Eyeliner on the top and bottom helps fill in my sparse eyelashes.
